My One and Only

"Love is a force more formidable than any other. It is invisible. It cannot be seen or measured, yet it is powerful enough to transform you in a moment, and offer you more joy than any other material possession ever could."

Almost nine months!!

It looks like James Jr. came out the winner!! Thanks to everyone for all your votes. We have a tough decision to make and all your input really helped. So stay tuned to see if that is what we decide to name the little guy. Onto other news... I know you are probably sick of seeing my big belly but rest assured only about a month left and you are free! Here I am almost nine months! I really cant believe how fast it has gone. I can't wait to meet him but I know I am going to miss carrying him around inside my belly. I am going to try and enjoy every minute that I still have him inside b/c it is such an amazing experience, and I hear they are a little bit more work once they come out :)

A tribute to the worlds best Grandma!

"Some people come into our lives and leave footprints in our hearts and we are never the same because of them" -unknown author

My Grandma was one of those people. From her I have learned so much and gained so much from her example. My heart will never be the same. My Grandma was the kind of lady that everyone wanted to be around. She had a cute, witty personality that kept everyone smiling. I was so blessed to work with her for over 4 years at the Burn Unit where she was basically the woman in charge. That place would fall into shambles without her. It was a unit-wide joke that she preferred me to call her Master as opposed to Grandma :) I was her devoted slave and probably the best-treated slave there ever was. She was so selfless and spent most of her day worrying about me and making sure I got my daily fruits and vegetables... somehow she managed to work too! She made sure I was well-fed and well-loved every day. The memories we created there will always be in my heart and I will never forget them. As heartbroken as I am right now, I am going to try to make this a happy post b/c that's the way she would want it. She brought so much happiness into our lives, it wouldn't make sense to make everyone sad right now. She had the ability to make me feel special and loved when the world made me feel the exact opposite. Grandma's have the amazing ability to make everything better. I loved her smile and laugh and the way her whole body moved when she giggled. These little details are the things that make life important. Today I challenge all of you to treasure every moment, give your husband an extra kiss or two today, call an old friend and talk about the good old days, cherish each breath we have been given, and above all else make sure your family knows just how much you love them.. and don't forget to laugh a lot!! Life is challenging at times especially when we say goodbye to a dear loved one, but we can find peace in knowing we have the gospel and can all be together again forever. There is no better gift than that and no better reason to smile everyday! I love you Grandma always and forever and I cant wait to see you again! Until then keep laughing and know that I will remain your devoted slave forever and I am eating plenty of leafy green vegetables :)

Joggin Strollers are Da' Bomb!!

So...as some of you may know I celebrated my b-day at the end of March. Man, where does the time go? You are only as old as you feel right? Actually these days with my enormous pregnant belly I am feeling pretty ancient. Anyways, there was nothing more my little heart desired than a Jogging Stroller. Because like I said, Jogging Strollers are Da' Bomb! I figure if you have one then you will be doing lots of jogging and what better way to shed the left over baby weight. I informed James of my great desire and he kindly listened but said that maybe now was not the best time. I was bummed to say the least. To make a long story short my B-day rolled around and it was perfect. James was my slave for a day and did whatever I wanted. And guess what- he surprised me with a wickedly cool Joggin Stroller!!! I about fainted I was so happy. He said I was like a little kid on Christmas. I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful Hubby who is so thoughtful and is always full of surprises. So check out the Stroller guys! You will see me sprinting all over the place in no time. LOL, at least that is my plan. Our little guy is gonna be so darn cute in his new Stroller. He will be strollin in style!! Did I mentions that I got James to agree to do a half-marathon in the fall with me? Anyone interested?
