My One and Only

My One and Only

"Love is a force more formidable than any other. It is invisible. It cannot be seen or measured, yet it is powerful enough to transform you in a moment, and offer you more joy than any other material possession ever could."

A little project...

So I decided to get crafty, or attempt to get crafty and make some fun new things for the new baby's nursery. I set a goal to make my own crib bedding but after realizing I am not that capable and remembering how much I spent on Tray's Pottery Barn crib set, I decided to make a quilt to compliment it and some pillows too. Here is the beginning of it. I went with a fun orange, green and blue theme based on the Wheels fabric by Riley Blake. Super cute fabric! We will see how it turns out. I am excited to put the nursery together...I'll post pics.

Rockin' Out!

Drums and guitar= some loud fun!!

Summer Fun!!

I can't believe summer is coming to an end. It has gone too fast. We did manage to have some fun though. Take a look...
Tray loves loves loves the car and has spent a great deal of time playing in the car or throwing tantrums to play in the car. Maybe he will go in to the car business like Papo ;)
Fun with neighbors and friends. Look at that babes on each side, what a lucky guy!

We went to the Gallivan center and Tray was able to ride in a real life Fire Truck. He thinks the car is awesome so you should have seen him in this thing.

Plenty of shots in/on the Fire Truck. He loved it!

He even got to meet some real life Fire Men. He thought he was pretty cool.

Of course we had to hit up the Farmington City pool. Tray even got to take his first session of swimming lessons. He had fun but didn't like the fact that he had to be held the whole time.

Why don't they make these for adults? Those floaty things would hide all my trouble spots.

More pool time at the Rec center.
Tray couldn't get enough of this slide. He kept asking to go again and again and again. My nerves finally calmed down after the 10th trip.

Zoo Days!

We have had a fun summer and part of that fun has been spent at the Zoo. Tray has loved it!
He especially loved the train. He is a big fan of trains and thoroughly enjoyed the ride.
His next favorite thing was the play area...typical 2 year old. He had a blast with Brykin, Aunt Heath, and Zana.
My little spider man.
They are so cute and such good buds. They are finally learning how to share with each other. I think they are so darn cute-I can't stand it.
Mom and Tray.
He could not get enough of this slide.

Cute boys.
We also got to visit the Zoo with Grandpa and Grandma over the 24th of July weekend. Tray was ecstatic b/c he got a ice cream cone and a chocolate one too.
Like father like son. They love chocolate!!!

July Festivities 2010

I love the month of July, especially in Utah. We have not 1 but 2 patriotic holidays to celebrate!
For the fourth we started early at IHOP and then ventured to West Bountiful for their parade.
Our best buddies the Wingets.
Tray and Jace having a blast in the rocks...boys!
Tray thought the police cars were uber cool!
The Pregos. Here we are at around 25 1/2 weeks. We basically have the same due date. SO fun!!
Me, Brooke, and Laura. Such fun girls!
Tray's favorite float, and about the only float in the parade. Apparently floats are a thing of the past. Bummer.
Nothing like a Popsicle on a hot summers day.
We went to the park after for lunch and more fun! The boys kinda hugging/wrestling.
Dad and Tray playing. They wear each other out.

Tray could not get enough of these big inflatable slides. He was laughing so hard and we had to pry him off of them. Thanks to Coby for keeping an eye on him. These things were big!

Brooke and I decided to take the boys on the first one for safety. I think we were more of a safety hazard than anything. Two pregos on an unstable, small inflatable slide= trouble. We were laughing so hard I almost peed my pants. We kept falling down and getting stuck while we were carrying our boys, so they started crying and we couldn't get up. It was a sight to see. Finally 15 min later we emerged unharmed with crying children. LOL. I love being pregnant.

Fireworks. Very lame, very safe fireworks. James wanted so badly to hit up Evanston but with all my years in the burn unit I made him settle for some rad fire flowers and over the top fountains. Babe, you are a good sport and we are all safe so it was well worth it :)

For the 24th we decided to step it up a notch and hit up the B-town parade. It was crazy insane and so busy.
Tray was content just as long as he was with his buddies, Coby and Jace.

Tray LOVES his Uncle Mike. He has been so lucky to be around so many uncles lately that he started calling me Uncle Mommy. LOL. I will have to explain that to him someday.
Off to the Rec Center for more fun. Tray got to be a big boy and ride this terrifying contraption all by himself. I think I said like 4 prayers during his ride. It didn't break down and we both survived.
The swings. He loved these and so did I. Much more safe, I think.

Oh yes, Another scare. This monster slide that James convinced me to let him take Tray down. If you blow it up Tray's face looks a little concerned. I think I muttered another 5 prayers for that one. I am glad James is more brave than me or else or children would be seriously deprived. Thanks hon.
