My pregnancy thus far

Some recent photos of our little guy.
These were taken at 24 weeks. I think he looks adorable even if they are not the best photos. He is getting so big!
Well, I thought it was about time for another belly shot! Here I am at about 30 weeks. Here is my pregnancy update....
This pregnancy has been very different from my first. I was much more sick in the beginning and more emotional too. I thought I was for sure having a girl cause it was so crazy! I can't really complain though cause I still to this day have never thrown up. I really sympathize for those girls that are throwing up every day. I totally admire you! I seemed to get better in the 2nd trimester and I was feeling much more like myself. We found out at 15 weeks we were having a boy! We were thrilled with the news. We both were secretly hoping for another little boy to play with Tray. How fun it will be to have them so close!
Tray has been so cute with my growing pregnant belly. He says "baby in Mommy's tummy" and gives it kisses and rubs. He will talk to my belly and say, "Hi baby broder". The other day we told him that maybe baby brother would bring him a present when he came. He thought about this for a minute and then said, "Yay, dump truck time." LOL. So know when we speak of his arrival he says, "baby broder bring present, dump truck." So I sure hope that baby brother can get his little hands on a dump truck or Tray will be very disappointed. He is so funny, he is always cracking me up. He likes to mimic me with my enormous pregnant belly and he walks around with his back arched and his belly sticking out and tells me he has a baby in his tummy. When he does this he insists that everyone does it too. He will say"Mommy too, Daddy too, Grandpa too." What a cutie. I think he knows there is a baby in my tummy but I don't know if he understands that he will be coming out and coming home with us. I am not sure how to make that more clear. I am very anxious about it and I am so worried Tray will have a hard time sharing the attention. Anyone have any ideas or advice? He is so gentle with babies, dogs and his stuff animals that I am not worried about that aspect. I think he will be a very affectionate and loving big brother. He loves to help me so I am hoping that desire stays around.
I am reminded (now that I feel better) how much I love being pregnant. It is one of my favorite things. It is sad to think how fast it goes. Our little guy is so active now and I feel him all the time. It is my most favorite thing about being pregnant. I don't know how you can't feel so attached to them when you feel them move. I just love it! I am much bigger than I was with Tray at this point so I don't know if that means he is going to be a big boy or I have just indulged more this time around. I love going to the doctor and getting ultrasounds each appointment. It has been so much fun to see him grow. He seems to be more calm than Tray in the womb and so I an hoping that continues once he is born. For some reason I feel like he will look more like me. But who knows? I am so excited to meet him and have a new baby in the house. There is something so special about having a newborn around. They are so fresh from Heaven and bring such a sweet spirit with them. I am SO baby hungry. Tray is such a big boy now and I miss that baby stage. What a fun adventure is ahead. I hope I can handle 2 boys!!! I am actually really nervous...any moms out there have advice on the transition?
With only about 2 months to go and lots to do I am getting worried. I am definitely in the nesting phase. Cleaning and organizing like a mad woman. I just hope I can get Tray's Big boy room and the nursery together before he comes. We are so excited for baby boy number 2! I can't believe how the time has flown by. I know he will be a blessing from above!

An update on the never-ending yard.

It seems like we have been doing the yard forever! I can't say that I have done much of anything besides pulling a few weeds. James has been such a hard worker out there. I am indebted to him forever!
After our hired help disappeared for weeks, we found someone new to finish that wall. Here is the beginning of the second tier.
The finished product. It was hard work and was time consuming but it turned out awesome. I am just so glad that James didn't attempt to do this himself. I wouldn't see him for months. I am excited to plant trees and flowers in it.
Next, we decided we would love to have a patio. Here is my hubby compacting the site.

Our patio. Tray is already enjoying it. It will be so nice to have somewhere to hang out and relax.
My buff babe.
Putting on the steps. He is such a handy man. He never ceases to amaze me.
Next is sprinklers and hopefully someday grass. I won't believe it until I see it. Thanks honey for all your hard work out there. It looks great!

A couple of weeks ago we made an appearance at the Chalk Drawing event at The Gateway. It turned out to be a lot of fun! They had some really talented artists too.
Just strolling along looking cute as always.

This of course was Trayden's favorite one.
It was pretty amazing what they could create with sidewalk chalk.
Tray's preferred form of transport. It has a much better view.
I love this photo. They are so cute! Can you tell they are father and son. I think they are almost identical.
We had to make a stop at the water fountains.
Ice cream. Yummy.
My boys with their chocolate ice cream cones.
Art, Family, and Ice Cream, a great day!

A much needed Road Trip!

We decided it was time for a little R &R so Ariel, Michelle, and I headed for sunny St. George for a couple of days. It was such a blast and I needed some girl time so it was the perfect road trip.
Here is the view from our condo.
We had lots of fun eating out. Look at my cute friends, they are so much fun! Check out those bread sticks, they were to die for. I love the Pizza Factory!
It would not be a girl's trip without a little pampering. We really enjoyed our pedicure and shopping afterwards.
We had to get plenty of treats and ice cream in while we were away.
And of course lots of time at the pool reading, relaxing, and laughing. It was so strange not having a 2 year old running around wild but it was a nice little break. I must admit- that I did miss my boys terribly. Here is my big prego belly and my cute freshly pedicured feet.

On the way home we made a stop at IKEA.

It was such a fun get away. I think we need to make this an annual (if not more) tradition. We had fun going to movies, eating junk food, renting chick flicks, reading, shopping, more eating, and just being together. I love these girls. Thanks for making time for me ladies, I miss you already. It was a much needed break and I came back refreshed and grateful for my boys that I had missed so much!

More summer fun!

This summer we have been busy having lots of fun! Take a look...
Tray and his buddy Jack being silly. They were having a blast!
Jumping and dancing!

Tray has been able to go the the airplane museum with Grandma and Grandpa several times this summer. It is right by there house and he asks to go there all the time. He loves it! I guess this particular visit he got special permission to sit in a little plane. They said he was beaming. He is very into airplanes and helicopters right now. Grandma and Grandpa are always doing such fun things with him. It has been so special to see how much he adores them.

Tray's little cousin, Aniston celebrated a birthday! He was in love with this car, he didn't seem to mind that it was pink at all. Once again he had his balloons that he would not let go of.
Checking under the hood, such a boy!
Loves from Uncle Ry.
We have had lots of fun trips to the park. It has been hot but we still manage to have fun!
Tray got to go to a pool party with some friends. He was a little nervous about going down the big slide but loved climbing up it over and over again.
He could not get enough of the playground. He is such a climber.

We have been making several trips to the doctor's office for baby #2 so it is a good thing that they have a totally awesome slide to entertain Tray. He is a big fan of slides now.

We recently discovered this adorable kids museum in Ogden. Tray has such a great time exploring and playing there. They even have story time and singing time. It has been a great way for him to get out some energy and learn new things. His favorite thing is the train tracks and the fire truck.

He can play Doctor and look at X-rays, bones, etc. He loves that stuff! He loves his stethoscope that we have at home. He loves to put it on my arm, then my leg, then my heart, etc and say "Boom boom" for the heart beat. Who know we might have a future Doctor in the family ;)

Drawing.
Another fav spot is the farm area b/c it has plenty of tractors. He is OBSESSED with them! Ever since we borrowed my Dad's tractor to do our yard he has been so into them. It is adorable.

My cute little man.
On another occasion we tried practicing with the babies. He did a great job being gentle and feeding them. I intend to put him right to work when the new brother arrives :)
Of course we had to play with some humongous teeth for Dad. Who know he could be a Dentist too. Yesterday he said, "Daddy work, Daddy fix it teeth, Daddy Dentist, I wanna Dentist too." It was so cute and Dad was just grinning from ear to ear with pride.
They even have little arts and crafts projects. Tray and Aniston planting seeds.
More photos of the fire truck that he loves.

Daddy and Tray. We have had so much fun being outside and visiting parks, going for walks, playing in the muddy yard (hopefully someday we will have grass), and being together. Tray has been such a blast this year and has loved being outside.
Tray with his beloved tractor that he calls a dump truck. He is so attached to them it is so funny. He is such a boy, I love it!
