Big Boy Trayden.

Guess who is 8 months young?

I am...Tray-Dawg!!!Here I am with my old man, he is one fun play mate. My mom is great but she is always singing to me and cuddling me. Sometimes you need a little male bonding ya know. When Dad is around we get to do tough boy stuff like rough-housing, watching football (mom has a no TV rule- lame) and eating chocolate ( Ha ha, I wish) You may have heard that I am one active little boy. I think I get it from my Dad, he was the same way when he was my age. I learned how to pull myself up to standing on just about everything. It is a blast!! The view from up there is amazing. I can see all the dangerous wires I want to scope out. The trick is out crawling Mom. She is pretty quick but sometimes I can trick her :) It is a big accomplishment for me! Check out this new toy my parents got me- Sweet!! I can even do that thing where I put one foot in front of the other, walking I think. It's pretty hard to do. I get too excited and end up toppling over. My mom has been helping me with it and I think once I pick it up, I am gonna love it. Just think how fast I will be then, Mom doesn't stand a chance! All this independence has come with some bumps and bruises but don't worry I can handle it. I am a tough guy just like my dad. Of course I still love to put everything in my mouth. You would be surprised by how much you can tell about a toy by how it tastes. Yummy!

Mom is so silly. She is always taking pictures. I really don't mind it. My mom is all about capturing the memories and I think that is cool.
Oh yeah, here is that walking thing I was telling you about. It's a pretty cool concept. I know I can do it and I think I will pick it up soon. Just think of all the exploring I could do. Mom always says that she loves how curious I am, she hasn't seen anything yet.

Posing in my Daddy's chair. I absolutely adore Dad. He is so cool! When he is home on the weekends I want him all to myself. It is all about me and Dad. I just can't get enough of him. I figured out that Mom is always around but Dad I don't get to see so much. He is the one that gets me all hyper and throws me into the air. I have to give a shout-out to my Mommy too. She is one neat lady and I know she does all the dirty work and gets up with me in the nighttime. Thanks Mom!

All of a sudden all the cool cords, remotes, even the electrical sockets that I think look so fun to play with have vanished. I think they call it baby proofing, well whatever it you call it, it is in full force and I am not sure I like it.. I doesn't spend much time on the floor these days. I like to think of myself as a climber now!

Once again. I love this couch, It makes a different sound when I hit it. Plus its softer if I bump my head. Our house is so fun to explore. What else can I climb on?

Oh, I love the TV b/c it has all sorts of buttons to play with!! I am way into wires, cords, electrical outlets, cell phones, house phones, buttons of any kind...basically anything that Mom doesn't want me to get into. He he. I am just curious that's all! Oh no, here comes Mom. I think I am busted. TTYL.

Look at that smile. He is my happy baby!

Like I said he is quite the curious boy. Who would have thought he would be able to figure out how to turn on the computer, log onto the Internet and type a blog. Amazing!! :)

Anyways, This is my all time favorite thing. This is how I find him every morning and after every nap. He goes to the end of the crib closest to the door and waits for us to come get him. When we come in he gets the biggest grin and starts to get all hyper and giddy. It is the cutest thing. I hope he never grows out of this. We look forward to it every night and make sure we are both there in the morning to go get him...it is that cute! He has also figured out how to climb up and play with the baby monitor that is attached to the crib. It is so funny to watch on the monitor. We just see his hands and his face. So hilarious!

Yup, you name it. He will try to climb on it.

Oh yes, another exciting discovery. He loves to pull everything out of the pantry. I let him do it b/c he just loves it so much. Under close observation of course :)

I have to mention that he continues to be a crawling machine but he is much faster. I really have to watch him now. I'll walk out of the room for a few seconds and he is right there behind me, crawling along. He is so cute sometimes he gets way excited and starts cruising but gets going a little too fast. His hands can't keep up with his legs and he does a face plant. He keeps me smiling all day.

Tray loves the guitar. We have some serious jam sessions and he wants to get into it to. I think he is gonna me a rock star or something when he grows up. Every time we come into the family room he takes off and heads right for the guitars. He loves these things. He pulls himself up on them and starts jamming. Mom and Tray.

I seriously can't believe how big he is and how he continues to get cuter and cuter. How is it possible? He is one fun little guy. I love this little guy more than anything. He bring so much happiness into my life.

I still can't believe he got onto my computer....weird.

Our trip to Colorado!!

Our next adventure was in Colorado! It was nice to be back in the mountains. In the canyon that takes you up to Vail. So pretty and lots of skiing! Very important!

We explored Boulder, which is a fun, college town by the mountains. Here we are on Pearl Street. It is the neatest street with all sorts of shops, food, and I think we passed about 20 guitar players. I loved the vibe of Boulder.

This is my super fly husband. No ,that is not his hair!!

A little flamingo action!

Everyone there is so laid back and easy going. It actually reminded me of Portland. Two thumbs up :)

Downtown Denver at ESPN Zone. I was craving this dessert since the moment we landed. If you know James and I you know we LOVE sweets. It was delicious! I highly recommend it, especially if you enjoy watching sports.

Colorado was a hit in our books. We really liked it there! We had the chance to meet with some Doctors and we really liked what we saw. This is such a hard decision. What to do? It was so fun to get away and explore another state. Thanks to Mike and Beth for watching little Tray. He misses you guys!

Our visit to Oregon!

We ventured up to the good old North West to explore Oregon, check out some practices and meet with some Doctors. All I can say is beautiful! The views are breathtaking! James and I kept saying " Why doesn't everyone live here?"
Look at how green it was...keep in mind this is winter. Isn't this amazing? This was a little town called Lake Oswego. It is my dream place to live. Right on the lake with your very own dock. You could go boating every day. We looked at houses for fun and they were all about 1.8 million. A little out of our budget :)We spent about 6 hours a day in this thing. It was so hard to leave Tray home, but we knew he wouldn't be able to handle the car. He still remains the only baby that HATES the car. He had a blast in Utah with the Grandparents. But boy, did I miss him!! We stopped at a couple of national forests along the way. I have to admit it... I am a tree-hugger!! Oregon was my kind of place. Check out these wildlife sightings. Pay close attention to 12-14!! WHAT???We actually already knew that Big Foot was a native to Oregon, but I couldn't believe someone had actually seen him. I looked really hard and sadly we never saw him. Better luck next time.Yeah, for real. I could have touched that Elk. You are like one with the animals out here! We made a stop at the gorgeous Portland Temple. It was so big and beautiful!

I thought this was worth taking a picture of. How rad! I am probably related to them somehow and maybe next time we will find out for sure.
We drove over the mountains, through the beautiful Tillamook Forest. I have never seen so many trees.
We stopped at the Tillamook Forest Museum and it was awesome. There were several devastating forest fires back in the 40's that wiped out the whole forest. It was amazing to hear the stories of all the dedicated people who planted seeds and rebuilt the forest. The forest has made a full recovery and it was a really inspiring story. Nature is amazing and it can be such a spiritual experience being out there immersed in trees. James checking out the Salmon. I took this one with my nifty underwater camera.Hanging with Smokey. He is one cool Bear.

Next, we headed for the coast. I know I sound like a broken record...but it was beautiful!!I just don't think it gets any better than this. Forest and Ocean, it was spectacular! ( I am trying to use some different adjectives)

We also got to make a stop in Corvallis and see our favorite Oregonians, Mark and Lindsey. We had a blast catching up over a gourmet dinner (thanks Lindsey) .They are so fun to be with and it was so good to reminisce about Ohio. We miss you guys!

Overall, we loved Oregon! I could totally see myself living there. There are so many great outdoor activities and you would never want to go inside. It is a tree-huggers paradise!
